Working on my portfolio

For the past year my day job has been being a product designer/illustrator for a stationery and desk accessories company here in Minneapolis. Well, I've decided to go out on my own again and make some new work and look for possible licensing opportunities. In the mean time I thought I'd update my portfolio to try and get some freelance work. So I laid a bunch of my samples on the floor to start organizing it all and was a little overwhelmed. It was a lot of work when I saw it all at once and this isn't even all of it and doesn't account for any national account work and all the work that wasn't produced. Crazy. I'm hoping I can do the same for myself now. That'd be awesome. We'll see how it goes. It's definitely nice to be working from home again. I haven't been out in the world really as an illustrator before so that's kind of exciting. Wish me luck!

It is lovely being ones own boss, exciting finding clients and gaining commissions, I love it - very hard work though!
